Pros

Very relaxed with great work life balance. Average salary. Very good people where everyone tries to help each other. Many indirect benefits (although consistently being reduced) One of the best pension plans around.

Cons

Pay rises are rare. Bonus is not performance linked but pool based and dependent on department heads decision. Technology is old but some attempts are being made to improve Poor developer hardware with one low quality monitor an enforced standard. Development tooling is unstable. Passive management avoids making decisions and refers to others. Large turnover of staff resulting in large loss of knowledge.

Pros

The brand name of UBS will carry you far (it has a pretty solid reputation outside of work)

Cons

Bad compensation compared to other banks for entry level wealth management positions. Basically no training. Was supposed to receive two weeks training and didn't. Management is non-existent and don't care about development of young talent. Nobody cares about the company internally.

Pros

- stable company for low-rank employees at the beginning of career as company is struggling with high employee rotation - if you are technical, task-oriented with no or a little ambition for growth this is a good place for you - flexible working style - full remote/hybrid model now since 2020

Cons

- no or a just a little chance to be promoted to responsible role, it lasts years - promotion and working overtime (non-paid) is needed otherwise there is no real chance for your salary growth - no relationship or no sponsor in CH/UK = no promotion - as simple as that
