Pros

If internal employee, getting fired is unlikely

Cons

-2nd class citizen (IT) -higher management without any technical experience, day-dreaming about change -Product owner acting like bottlenecks in team, micromanaging -you will be challenged on common sense stuff (ie. why do TDD, create monoliths) -a mountain of paperwork and bureaucracy for releases -CD/CI in shambles -Sloppy, manual testing, almost zero automation -Never get to work on interesting stuff, always distracted with meaningless tasks -Analysts don't speak with devs for requirements, but with semi-gods product owners -going to extremes to avoid regression testing impact -resulting in code duplication, and bad design -no interest to adopt new technologies

Pros

Constantly hiring, take any experience level, many locations

Cons

Required to purchase your own equipment ~$500 minimum. No promotion based on merit, only seniority, does not listen to employee issues / concerns, pays below market rate, no room for growth / promotion

Pros

Really top notch people work in the UK business. Good diversity, really clever with impressive backgrounds. Nice building in the City with canteen and gym. When I started in 2013 it was great because turnover was low, and people really built their careers there and stayed a long time. They moved around jobs but this gave it a great feel of longevity as a place to work.

Cons

The Swiss home office micro-manages the UK, and when you add this pressure to UK regulatory scrutiny it can be a maze of rules and regulations. Then the worst is when your Swiss bosses don't understand UK rules and you get in trouble with you boss for following UK law. Far too controlled by Switzerland, which allows for little creativity or enablement in London. Also now beset by reorg after reorg so the turnover is too high to get to know people well or build a career there.
