Pros

Overall, a good culture, time off and benefits are pretty good comparatively speaking. Internal mobility is highly encouraged and short and long term job shadowing options, some possible international options as well, are a great way to learn more about an area of interest before taking on the role.

Cons

Pay is lacking for the industry. A LOT of red tape given the global nature of the business. Things move very slowly including promotions, pay raises and remote work decisions. Structure of line management is confusing and direction is often discombobulated. Some of the line managers seem to have a "grind and die" mentality that is really daunting and burnout seems to be a bit rampant.

Pros

Good name to have on a resume I guess. But at what cost?

Cons

I was sold on an analytical role at the company, when I really got there I felt a little lied too. In reality the role was much more operational. Also, the archaic systems make it impossible to do any real analytics work. A lot of systems were built by external 3rd parties, and as a result they are overly complicated and inefficient. If your someone working in analytics do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I was lucky enough to get out before wasting much time there. I had no experience in Finance but the amount of meetings these people have its astounding to me that any real work gets done. I sat in on a 5+ hour meeting my first week there. What could possibly be so important to talk about for 5 hours? The answer is nothing. I could hear the stress in everyones voice, I could tell that my manager was being overworked, nobody seemed to be enjoying themselves. They would just sit in meetings for hours and hours talking about how everything is awesome and the numbers are great etc. -- lots of red flags and life is short folks. Jobs and money are nice but not if they suck the life out of you.
