Pros

Good to have on your resume, people are generally impressed. Not as cut throat as some of the other investment banks.

Cons

My job was particularly boring, though some of the other interns had interesting assignments. In the end, I had to make my own experience.

Pros

Good benefits, leave and insurance

Cons

Employees are not paid based on experience, perforamnce and licenses but rather by personal preference given to employees by managers.

Pros

UBS honored their deferral commitments to their incoming GTP's which I think is very commendable. The internship program is also structured very well and the people there truly seem to care about the development of the interns. Lastly, the trading floor is in Stamford (it has its ups).

Cons

Well for one, the trading floor is in Stamford (it also has some downs). The communication isn't always very open and transparent between HR and employees. There is somewhat of a cultural division between the sales people in NYC and the traders in Stamford. Traders tend to think more highly of themselves than the salesman think of themselves (maybe for good reason, maybe not).
