Work/life balance Possibility to take leaves and flexible time Good direct manager IT processes are structured and organized

Cons

Politics is rampant, any career advancement involves playing the political game, and even if you don't, a lot of energy is drained on it From middle management and above, people don't seem to have a clue about technology, feedback from the "trenches" is not sought and the rationale behind decisions seem to completely lack any technical merits Technology is old, outdated and there are huge resistances to adopt anything new or look into alternatives to cut cost (such as Open Source, for instance)

-generally easy-going colleagues -internal competition not great (vs. other houses) -access to talented people at your fingertips -has an enjoyable culture

Cons

-pay package is not "competitive" -promotion process, structure, not clearly defined -high expectations for little compensation -pay is not consistent within the same dept for same ranking (+#yrs)
