Pros

Mission-driven with a mandate that is close to everyone's heart and passion.

Cons

Massive egocentric and territorial cooperate culture, ruled by "the old ways" of doing things and incapable of change, crippled by dysfunctional bureaucracy. Appointments and opportunities are based on nepotism and have very little to none to do with merit or ability to do the job. People are assigned to lead groups and teams, with no management skills or any accountabilities. A must to qualify as going up the ladder and reaching senior leadership positions, is having an overinflated ego and no emotional intelligence or self-awareness.

I felt I was able to hit the ground running and get a really good insight of the organization and our division quickly. A really professional HRBP team who are professional, hired for the right reasons, support one another, and their staff body. An open, fair and trusting form of communication and collaboration is established by DHR Directorate which again is refreshing and rare.

Cons

The rotation system is a little stifling and inward looking,
