Pros

Driver rate is pretty decent for required knowledge and skills. Will definitely work during peak season. Union will have your back though it is losing its influence.

Cons

Treated like trash. Good work is rewarded with more work/higher expectations. Work done is not worth the rate of pay. Cannot handle peak season(mid Nov-early Jan). This building was the second worst UPS in the country for handling the last peak season. Work loads are nowhere near equal(even taking age, health, area etc. into consideration). You will need surgery or have movement issues if you plan to stay until retirement(I personally acquired arthritis by 25). Management doesn't even follow their own rules until they're being watched by the union. Ten year waiting list minimum until full-time spots open up. Safety first is a lie. Package Handlers make terrible money/hours. Hard to find twenty words for the pros minimum requirement.

Pros

Good hours and good pay.

Cons

Worse supervisors to work with. Supervisors always complaining about you're not going fast enough. Supervisors will tell you everyday get faster or go home. Supervisors do not see that you're working really hard or going as fast as possible even when you're going as fast as they want you to.
