Job stability and the chance to move up in rank are good reasons for any one to join the Air Force. The Air Force gives those that do not have leadership skills the needed to make it in todays society and become a leader of tomorrow. It is a also a excellent way to serve your country.

Cons

There isn't that much stability when it comes to working for the military. You are constantly moving every couple of years and you could be one of the lucky few to actually get deployed. The combination of the two could make it hard for yourself and family memgers to adjust to an always changing environment.

Promotions, see the world, decent pay and benefits. Free medical and dental care. 30 day vacations that can be accumulated up to sixty days a year. Decent retirement plan after a minimum 20 years of service. Good dining facilities and exercising facilities. Good educational opp with payment of one hundred percent tuition. When you move they pay for the moving expenses and vehicle shipment . Pretty much a drug free enviroment. No tolerance for sexual harrasment or racial descrimination. Uniform allowance. Off base housing paid. Good family atmosphere

Cons

Deployments....being away from family for a year at a time can be very stressful on family life. Some position do pay more in the civilian sector.
