Pros

Great place to work, help pay for school. It was as great leadership experience. I'm glad I got out but I am glad I did it.

Cons

There can be long hours and of course the training and deployments take up a lot of time. Very rigid promotion schedule but at the same time it is nice to know when you are getting promoted generally.

Pros

Great IT/Cyber Training (boot camp/certification). Great opportunity for hands-on learning; live missions (for active teams). More relaxed than regular Army. Lots of freedom for self development. You get to be part of the growing DOD cyber force.

Cons

It was just activated in 2014/2015, so there are some growing pains. Most of the senior leaders don't have any cyber training, so they treat it like a signal unit instead of a technical spec ops unit. The teams are disjointed, not uniform and inconsistent. Training does not properly prepared employees for the missions; a lot more on-the-job learning.
