      Pros

      Great employer with great benefits, pay is excellent especially on deployments. Lots of opportunity to be mentored by senior leaders especially those with combat experience.

      Cons

      Travel around a lot. When Deployed you are away from family and friends. Sometimes irratic schedule but lots of four day weekends

      Pros

      Great people from all walks of life, "meaningful" work, and they take care of soldiers and their families pretty well

      Cons

      Lot of downtime, lot of details, lot of dog and pony show stuff, lot of bureaucracy, lot of idiot supervisors and you can't do much about it, lots of micromanagement from battalion and brigade levels

      Pros

      Rent is taken care of and you don't have to worry about what you are wearing that day. Invaluable leadership experience by great leaders. Being placed in tough situations and coming out the other end better for it. Surrounded by some of the greatest Americans you will ever know.

      Cons

      Time away from home can be rough. You are sometimes stuck with a boss who is less than stellar and no recourse.
