Pros

Best education a young man or woman can get. You cannot pay for the type of training, benefits, or experience at a University, that you will get in the real world as a soldier in the US Army.

Cons

Not for the weak, feint of heart, or anyone of Gen Y that thinks someone owes them anything. You are given nothing in the Army. It is all earned. Your race has no preference, your gender garners no preference, and no one cares where you come from or who your family is. If you are used to trading in these values, your currency is not accepted here.
