Pros

Great benefits for those who come from non-tech companies like office lunch, a free healthcare option, and monthly equity vests, generally work with collaborative people who focus on solving problems and are pleasant

Cons

Lack of work-life balance, growth opportunities via promotions feel like they’re few and far between, and movement to other teams is something you have to make happen on your own (not much encouragement or assistance organizationally)

Pros

- free lunch (although not the best quality) - typical benefits like health insurance and gym card - nice people (although small office and plenty of gossips)

Cons

- horrible work - life balance (very fast paced, team structures changing every couple of months as well as goals and tasks) - no onboarding at all and high expectations from day 1, leading to quick burn outs - not enough employees (to save money, company is hiring 1 person for a job that should be done by 3-5 people) - very small office (not enough desks nor rooms) - very American and individualistic culture focused on competition not cooperation - super small salaries compared to the market, opportunity to grow once a year and its a very slow growth - very long processes, the company is scared of a data leakage so there is no knowledge sharing between the teams, no access to global files, every document that is created is confidential and not sharable from a default - no structure and chaos - company does't seem to care if processes are working or not or if something takes ages to implement, as long as they don't loose money, they couldn't care less for the employees time and energy spend on the tasks - huge expectations and workload as well as no support from the team which leads to high pressure - favouritism of certain employees (no hiring processes because of connections) - very masculine environment and ambition to be "the best" - most of the employees are not even hired by Uber but by the external companies which makes them less of a an Uber employee in terms of benefits (no stocks, no access to specific platforms, lower salaries etc) - very bad communication between HR company and Uber
