Pros

I made a couple great friends while there and benefits were pretty good.

Cons

Dress code is absolutely brutal, wasn't allowed more than 5 personal items in the cubicle, and the culture was really strict and suffocating. People tried to make the best of it, but I would get severe anxiety if anyone from corporate ever came to our branch. Not because I was bad at my job, but because the environment and vibe they gave off was so unwelcoming.

Racists, favoritism, sexists and too harsh

Pros

Excellent corporate culture - accountability and doing things the right way are important values to the company Good management from top to bottom Above-average pay Awesome corporate campus and related perks Tons and tons of talent - nobody but the best works at Uline Lots of opportunities to build your skill-set - the company is happy to pay for certifications and training materials, and will work with you to advance your career

Cons

COVID-19 response has been more informed by politics than facts WFH policy is inflexible. The company has proven capable of WFH - add it to the company's retention toolkit! Work-life balance can be rough - the culture rewards working long hours, which can be grueling for IT staff that are already expected to be on-call (whether they're on the on-call rotation or not) PTO policy is skimpy, with no separate sick pay. Medical benefits are only average - would really like to see traditional low-deductible plans. It's 2020 - add a parental leave program. Young folks starting their careers are also looking to start families - guaranteeing 6-8 weeks of paid time off for new moms and dads will allow Uline to fill more positions with top-tier employees.
