Pros

Great benefits- the company invested in great health coverage for employees as well as a great 401k match. Fairly flexible schedules were offered as well as a good work/life balance. Employees never have to take work home.

Cons

Micromanagement gone wild. Employees often felt overworked and unappreciated. Many accomplishments went unnoticed, but even the slightest of mistakes was analyzed under a microscope and scarred your performance statistics. Not a lot of room for advancement.

Pros

Great benefits. The company really puts emphasis on wellness and convenience for corporate employees. Bonus programs are awesome and everyone is included. Pay is competitive in some aspects and well beyond competitive for others. The company rarely fires employees or lays them off, so job security is high. Great job for people who do not care about moving up professionally.

Cons

Micromanagement is key for all job positions. Very few people have only one boss and often your job performance is monitored by managers not remotely associated with your department. There are unspoken rules about nearly everything - from your dress to your "hours worked per week" to your word usage in reports to your outspoken opinions. They rarely promote from within and when they do it is rarely on the basis of skill.

Pros

- Cafe has good food most days

Cons

- No work from home allowed (it was made clear this will never be an option) - Salaried employees must work 45+ hours a week (using punch clock) or will be terminated - Parking lot doesn't have enough spaces for employees, so hope you're ready to add a 2nd commute to your daily routine - Owner Liz Uihlein knows nothing about IT, but makes every decision for it, disregarding suggestions from others (other management including the CIO Bill Eismont cannot change her mind after years of trying) - Want a raise? Uline supports giving raises to its employees by allowing them to quit and find another job that will pay them more - Did you or someone you live with come down with COVID-19? Uline will help you through this process by allowing you to use your PTO/Vacation days until you are healthy enough to commute back into the office
