Pros

There are no reasons to work here.

Cons

They actually fly people to Los Angeles for more interviews and take hair samples for drug testing. In addition the owner has an election denier and conspiracy theorist! Still want to work at Uline?

The political leanings of Uline founders as private citizens does not represent the more than 9,000 employees who come to work from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We continue to work hard to foster an inclusive work environment for all of our employees.

Pros

Good money, good benefits. Nice office.

Cons

Stressful. Owner wants the call center to answer the phones faster than 911, so no calls ever get an actual ring. Can't be logged off for bathroom breaks longer than a total of 15 minutes a day. Can't be even a second late for work. If you are late a total of ten times in one year, you are automatically fired, no matter the circumstances of why or how long you have worked for the company. Owner does a white glove check on the call centers and the warehouses. Also, women in the call center must wear full business suits or dresses/skirts with pantyhose/nylons even though we do not deal with anyone in person. Ever.

Good benefits. Nagging management

Pros

Their benefits, year-end profit sharing and $100 bonuses when beating a previous record are great.

Cons

If you make 1 error in the month, you're asked to have zero errors the following month. If you meet that goal of zero errors, they'll notice your productivity is low, even though your matching team goals. You increase your productivity with zero goals. BIG EFFIN DEAL! The leads and management will say you've only done that for one month. Then you do it two months in a row, three months in a row, four months in a row exceeding productivity with zero errors, BIG EFFIN DEAL! It is never ever NEVER EVER enough with that company. The analogy I tell people is: imagine having a decent house, nice car, decent money, but your spouse is CONSTANTLY NAGGING you. After a while you'll give up the house, car and money just to get the hell away from Liz Uline, I mean, your Coke Zero drinking spouse with NO shoes on. No wonder her husband Richard (I had to edit his first name) Richard Uline has his own separate private jet. Even he can't stand her.

We might employ more than 9,000 employees across North America, but at Uline we strive to make each one of our team members feel like a part of the team. Though we like to push employees to reach their full potential, our intention is certainly not to push our people away from the company. When employees feel stuck, we strongly encourage them to discuss their concerns with their manager.
