Pros
- They have some great products and you get discounted pricing on them. - They got a spanking nice new office.
Cons
- Everyone plays politics in the company. - Everyone pulls rank, "I'm a director, you're just a manager. You have to listen to me." Roles mean nothing. - No one follows policies and not much enforcement as enforcers are afraid to offend higher ups. - Managers and above plays 'musical chairs', rotate jobs every 2 years, spends 6 months 'learning the business' as there's no proper handover, works for 1 year, then spends the last 6 months finding a new role. So everyone works only 1/2 the time. - Individual contributors are treated like dirt, managers are 2nd class employees. Only directors are seen as of value to the company. Most leisure events are organised for managers/directors and above only. - It is easier to quit and apply for a job as a manager or director then to work consistently in the company and hope to get noticed for a promotion. - VPs and SVPs get everything and anything they want; no one says no to them. Thus they spend unnecessary and silly money on unneeded items. Directors see it and try to flex their muscle on the spending too.
