Pros

Unilever has a great benefit & compensation structure and the people at the US corporate office are very intelligent & qualified and a joy to work with.

Cons

If you are working in a support function such as Finance (outside of the corp office), you will have very little managerial support. The sad fact is that, although Unilever is a well run company, if you work in a production location you are subject to the ethics of the local Plant Manager and trying to maintain your professional integrity may be difficult.

Pros

The ability to work in different areas of finance which will help you broaden your experience in many areas of the finance

Cons

As with many companies it is a balance between working hard and being productive and playing the political game. Unfortunately sometimes hard work and being productive and adding values to the business is not enough to advance.
