Continual layoffs that occur at a company that used to stay at for job security has severely eroded morale.

Verizon do not care at all about employees. They are cutting everywhere and replacing US Engineers for Engineers from India. Your job is at risk all the time now. For the last lay off in December 2017, they promised retire benefits that were not true. For instance, the retiree employee phone program, they told retire employees that if you qualified (it was my case), you will received 50% discount price plan. Now suddenly they decided to change that starting in 2019. In FLorida a verbal agreement could be considered a contract. I will look for LEGAL help. IT is time that somebody start requesting our right as employees. Also, they try to push away UNIONS. Manages constantly thread you regarding any contact that you can do with Unions's people. IT is a BAD environment for professionals in the industry.
