      Pros

      Verizon provides excellent benefits (health insurance, profit sharing, pension, etc ) and a great working environment. I have excellent communication with upper level management. My fellow employees are wonderful to work with. My job does not require any out of town travel which is greatly appreciated by my family members. They offer an excellent opportunity for continuing education in many facets of the communication industry that are free of charge on the Verizon eweb. They also reimburse tuition expense.

      Cons

      The changes in technology may result in a decrease in jobs. This may also lead to decreased personal interactions for our valued customers. With the recent turndown in the economy, some of us are fearful about our job security.

      Pros

      They work hard and round the clock. If anything an employee will walk out very very experienced. A lot of very intelligent and hard working people work in Verizon. It is a company on the cutting edge of technology. They have a lot of respect in the telecommunication and technology spheres.

      Cons

      No balance between work and personal life. You work anytime of the week at any hour. Senior management will ask you to work on a Sunday and any resistance on the workers part will not be taken with too much pleasure.
