Pros

Pay is decent, most of the co-workers can be really cool

Cons

Too many to list but I will try. First off, they act like they want you to do the right thing for the customer but in reality, they want you to sell them things they don't need. They are constantly taking advantage of people's ignorance of the market, mostly the elderly. And management doesn't want you to help those who are ignorant with their devices...they want you to push them home and have them figure it out on their own. They also have a thing where they'll add the insurance on an ignorant customer's plan and make it sound like it's part of the deal. Which is totally illegal. Management told us to "manipulate the customer" so that they buy more. I get that it's a commission job and maybe it's just not for me, but it seems very awful to be doing these things. Maybe I just work in a bad store, but it is a terrible working environment.

Pros

Great benefits. Medical and 401k match were the best I have seen. I was well compensated.

Cons

Very political and it is all about who you know, not if you are qualified to do the job. Many positions in the company are not needed and they have begun to recognize this. Layoffs are frequent and has changed the culture to one of fear among the employees. You can be a top performing employee and they will all turn their backs on your if your position is cut. Leadership is trash. If you decide to take a job here, milk it for all it is worth and always have an exit strategy. Don't expect to advance unless you are willing to relocate all over the country and get very up close and personal with leadership.
