Pros

It was not that bad of a place to work. If you go into Walmart as a college student, try to land a job that is somewhat close to what you are majoring in. The experience, especially if it is in your degree area, looks very good on a resume.

Cons

If you are not in school, expect to work, work, work with little or no direction from upper management.

Pros

Good rates of pay in comparison to other opportunities available. Some job stability. Small quarterly bonuses. Very lax on letting people call in every week.

Cons

Promote incompetent associates to management over much more qualified associates. Frequent changes in major operation processes with very little explanation or coherent goals. Management is very close minded to associates opinions to improve operations. Store operations and positive atmosphere seemed to go downhill very bad when Mike Duke became CEO.
