Pros

It's good money, the sunday premium is an extra dollar an hour, laid back atmosphere, good way to meet and see a LOT of people.

Cons

very competitive...all of the older people are kissing butt to management to get ahead. Can be a little irritating. The ten percent discount is a joke and it takes 90 days before you even get it. Very little training when you first start...you WILL feel like a fish out of water and some days I was left for dead to open and close my department (electronics) during my first week. I was expected to answer questions by myself when I lterally didn't know anything about procedure.

Pros

Working at walmart was good because I had a lot of freedom. I didnt have anyone over my shoulder my whole shift telling me what to do. They also don't put a lot of pressure on you to open walmart credit cards like most other retail stores do.

Cons

There was no flexibility in my schedule. If i wanted to cut my hours down they would freak out. I was working 32 hours per week and trying to attend school full time and they didn't have any sympathy.
