Pros

Benefits. Discount card. Never a dull moment. Efficient. World Leader in Sustainability. Associates are great. It is a family environment, and stores become a family. Many associates who work at walmart start by shopping there. It is a great place to work, and there is never a dull moment at the store. If you are into people watching walmart is the place for you. This company is light years ahead of any other retailer. Despite it's home office location of Bentonville, AR, the top talent in leadership, retail, and logistics in the world are all trying to get on with this company.

Cons

Retail. Crazy customers. Arkansas No domestic partner benefits.

Pros

Walmart is easy to get a job at. It is virtually impossible to get fired. They give a three week schedule. They don't care if you work after your initial 90 day probationary period. Most of the employees are pleasant enough people.

Cons

Management is of the lowest quality you will ever see. Pay is below average. If you are the new guy on the ladder, you will be doing your work and other peoples work by management orders. There is almost no thanks, or concern for going an extra mile. The people in charge can't figure out a schedule, to the point were you will get yelled at for following the posted schedule. Showing up early is discouraged and staying even 1 minute late will result in disciplinary action. Management will cancel orders of supplies needed to complete work and question why you can't do your job (example management canceled floor wax order, then became enraged that we couldn't wax the floors).
