Pros

10% discount on everything but grocery, customers weren't too bad, I kind of thought cashiering was fun. There were a few good things about this job.

Cons

Very low pay, horrible health insurance, management is awful, and the employees are driven too hard to work without good compensation.

Pros

Working with a variety of people is a bonus. The potential for career growth is there. Being a global company, there are no limitations on where you could work. Usually at your own discression.

Cons

Pay, if lower on the management pole. Its easy to get your foot in the door through hard work and dedication. However, those traits are not valued at Wal-Mart. Being such a large company political preference create a large obstacle in getting promoted. Its all about who you know. So if a career with this company is in your future goals, start networking ASAP. That is the key to success for the vast majority.
