Pros

Its a fun work environment and most of the time the other associates are friendly. The profit sharing bonus and the Discount card are definitely a plus.

Cons

The management treats the employees like dirt. No one in the upper management cares about anything besides make their bonuses bigger. There is no understanding when there are family matters that cause you to call off, they don't care, you call off you will get fired, even if your spouse/child is in the hospital. There are favorites and if not considered one, you get no recognition and nothing you do will be good enough.

Pros

The computer system is easy to learn and easy to keep up with. Tasks such as filling are easily managed through barcode scanning preventing errors. We accept most major insurances including medicaid which helps with many customers.

Cons

The $4 list while helping customers has almost tripled our volume with no pay raise, we simply have to work harder every day with no compensation. Benefits are offered but not very great, the insurance plans could be better and the company could afford to offer them without charging our checks. Customers in general are a bit more unruly then other retail pharmacys. Management has a tendency to not communicate effectively.

Pros

When working at Wal-mart if you truly work hard you will be recognized. However, if you just go with the flow, thats the only place you'll ever go at Wal-mart. There are plenty of potential job advancement opportunities as long as you try. Another good thing seeing as how most walmarts are 24 hours they are pretty flexable with your schedule.

Cons

I think one of the biggest downsides of working at Wal-mart is the way the customers treat you. Often they will come in and act as if you are not worthy to talk to them just because you work there.
