Pros

If you're looking for a place to gain some knowledge about the inner workings of the retail industry, this is a great place for that.

Cons

Without a doubt, what the company says and what the company does are two totally different things. They chanted that their customers were #1 always and they made their associates perform the safety pledge promise however they were more concerned about moving product and filling empty airspace (making money) rather than following health and safety codes that were in the best interest of their customers and associates. In addition, the work is very physical and constant and the pay is extremely low.

Pros

Very pleasing working environment. There's a lot of job security. Most of the time I feel comfortable. It can be very different every day. You don't do the same thing every day ... enless you're a electronics associate

Cons

Wal-Mart is starting to eliminate full-time positions. It has gotten worse over the years and it's entering an epiphany. If your store doesn't do well then they'll cut your hours. If you don't beg for hours then they'll cut your hours. You MUST be full-time to be paid fairly, otherwise you'll be making $200 a week
