Pros

You always know what is on sale and where. Employee discount card helps some. There is always a job there, no layoffs

Cons

The store I worked at was ALWAYS late for breaks (we're talking 1.5-2 hrs on average, every day). Constantly understaffed and the employees that were hired, half of them didnt care about the job or fellow employees and call off minutes before their shift. Not to mention the whole anti-union video employees are FORCED to watch during orientation.

Pros

The 10% discount card ?

Cons

Supervisors get defensive whenever you ask questions about why they want you to do something. If something doesn't make sense to you, you have the right to ask! Also, quite a number of times my immediate supervisors would forget I needed a lunch break (or even any break). Or that I have to go home. The store I worked for also didn't take the time to properly train their cashiers. Quite a bit of information I learned about the job wasn't in the "training program" on the computers.

Pros

Fifteen minute breaks, half hour to hour lunches, they occasionally let us go home for lunch, and their discipline system seems mostly fair.

Cons

Terrible policy regarding mental illnesses, and other illness. Co-workers frequently try to get each other fired. Terrible rate of pay, and the managers at the store don't listen. A transfer to another department practically requires a coaching. The electronic cart retriever is occasionally broken.
