Research more before joining Wipro about the policy, process and culture through existing employee
Pros
As fresher to start it may be Ok. but not recommended for experience engineers because they will be promised false by providing good designation and salary later surprises will start when you could not take U turn.
Cons
I joined Wipro as i was offered good role and salary as 10+ years experience Engineer. I had worse experience ever in my 10 year career. Brief is as below: 1. I thought of growing more as Architect here. Immediate after joining during induction, first surprise was "joining date as post appraisal cut off" means no hike for current cycle. My recruiter hide such important information from me and now i was bound to continue and I did. 2. HR did false promises leaving no choice for us. No further change in salary even after several requests. Just waste of time. 3. You may be asked to work from client place, doesn't matter how far the client location. This information was also hidden while first discussion before joining. 4. When you are done with one project then to find another relevant project finding is very difficult. Their project finding department will not help you at all rather they will pretend that they are helping. Finally you may complete so many days as on free pool later they may suddenly force you to leave. 5. No job security at all, Hence, after reading my previous point i request to all 10+ experience engineers please never ever try to join here. Those who must not join Wipro are: a. One is working with Product company. b. One is passionate about innovation. c. One is really looking for better career. d. One is really wants Work Life Balance.
