Pros

The senior talent of this company really stands out to me, ensuring that the work product delivered is of a great standard. What it means for me is that I am able to learn about the good practices that make differentiate a good report from a great one. The learning curve especially at junior to mid senior level is outstanding and the organisation is extremely supportive of individual growth. The work culture is something that I have found to be very unique. We have ample of opportunities, and most of all flexibility for working. Its a relaxed environment overall, not a lot of stress or overtime. They are understanding and supportive of mental health and advocate for employee wellbeing.

Cons

Some of the company's growth initiative have not yielded the expected results and the competitors are growing at a better pace, but I would say these things can take time. To some extent, there have been teams where micromanagement is an issue but that is all dependent on who your manager is, or who they are reporting to. In terms of pay, they are competitive but the monetary growth can feel slower than other companies even if you are a good achiever.

Pros

People you work alongside are genuinely lovely and supportive. I have been at the London office for a while and this has always been true

Cons

Bottom line they pay well bellow the market average and HR and management will stop at nothing to make sure you do not get the salary you deserve. Moreover there is only one promotion cycle per year

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your long-standing contributions to Wood Mackenzie. We’re glad to hear you value the supportive team environment in our London office—that’s something we strive to maintain across the company. We understand your concerns around compensation and career progression. Pay competitiveness and recognition are important to us, and we regularly review our reward structures and promotion processes to ensure fairness and alignment with market benchmarks. Your thoughts are noted and we will ensure our HR see them as we continue working to improve in these areas. It is also worth noting that we look at the wider compensation and benefits package - for instance, our flexible working approach, our hybrid approach etc. If you’d like to share more details or suggestions, please reach out through our internal feedback channels either via our quarterly engagement surveys, your line manager or your HRBP.
