      Not a good place to start your career, not that great of a place in general & extremely high turnover

      Pros

      Very knowledgeable people and very good legacy research about the energy industry Generally nice people at lower levels Good work-life balance (including 5 weeks vacation)

      Cons

      Very out of market pay Mid and upper management are not good leaders/mentors Zero career progression (virtually no one goes from non-mgmt to mid-mgmt) and zero salary progression (you are lucky to keep up with inflation) Very hardcore about cutting costs (including employee benefits [e.g. healthcare plan was significantly downgraded and nothing was provided to make up for it] and hiring negotiation is very intense (they are not nice negotiators) Extreme turnover at lower levels Nearly all new mid-managers and above are hired externally

      A very different company from what it used to be (in a bad way for employees)

      Pros

      Company is well known in the upstream industry, not so much at the other end

      Cons

      No training (on the job is not training boss. It is call working), over-emphasis on English communication rather than what is more important - industry/domain expertise, staff restructuring going on but it is clear that people who are doing the work are being culled yet many at the higher level (drawing huge salaries but with connection all the way to the top) were left untouched.

      Cons

      Has weak and uninspiring leadership which starts at the top. Culture of fear and harassment in HR driven from CHRO at Verisk - you are either in the inner circle or out of it - 'my way or the highway' approach to HR leadership (many excellent HR people have left or been exited because of this).
