The leadership team has developed extremely well the past few years. I've found that they support creative avenues for career growth and empower individuals with a proven track record to create their own stretch opportunities. Sometimes a cautious, measured approach to decision making has been viewed as non-supportive of change, but that is fundamentally incorrect. Under new corporate ownership, the refreshed leadership team is truly building a robust, sustainable business that rewards the right values and directs resources to building long lasting client solutions.

Cons

Career progression is still easier for people on a management track, rather than committed analysts trying to become true subject matter experts.

Preface: First job out of college so hard to compare it to other employers, but Wood Mac has set the bar high. Great work/life balance - Flexible work schedule and hours. Exceptional vacation policy, no questions asked, take it as you please. Regular team outings, lunches, sports teams, and happy hours which helped the work week fly by. Great work environment - Team oriented atmosphere, feels very collegiate/fraternal in the best way possible. Constant work collaboration with peers and managers helps to build great professional relationships and friendships. #LaFamilia Management - Had multiple managers over my 2+ years; felt each one genuinely looked out for my professional interests and my career path. Compensation: Exceptional insurance coverage, competitive salary (especially given work/life balance), strong 401K match. Side perks: Company provides free fruit breakfasts on Mondays and there's regularly cake/donuts/tacos in the kitchen.

Cons

Technology - No, the programs used here for your daily work aren't perfect. Management knows that, and the tech seems to improve annually although - and I think all within the company would agree - it's probably a ways back from where it should be. As with all companies, there were a couple difficult employees to work with, although most have left over the past 12 months.
