Pros

WV gives you an opportunity to young graduates to leave and work amongst vulnerable communities in a highly controlled and accountable environment

Cons

For higher management levels, the remuneration package is often not commensurate with the level of expertise of the accounting officer, hence causing a high staff turn over.

Poor Vision for Future

Pros

Being part of the work that WV does around the world. Great co-workers

Cons

Salary could be better. In the past year severe cuts to personal; WV is being run like a corporation as CEO is a corporate guy not an INGO person. He has hired additional corporate people and have severed several top level executives that had decades of experience. There is no clear vision for the future of WV. I am afraid if they continue to cut the wrong people WV will not last much longer. Kevin Jenkins really does not have a clear vision but loves to have his picture taken with heads of state and people like the Pope; he seems to be self-serving.
