Pay is on par or better than equivalent positions from other companies. Large company with established systems/procedures in place, so good introduction to the world of consulting.

Cons

Lack of support from upper management. Staff predominantly work from home so virtually no company culture. Lack of transparency over workload and expectations. Extreme fluctuations in workload and lack of communication on weekly workload - often a requirement to use employee's accumulated banked time during slow periods. Often unreasonably tight budgets to complete required work.
