Pros
-Multinational company with offices all around the world serving the energy, resource, power and infrastructure sectors. The company offers various employment opportunities and encourages mobility between the offices. -Reasonable remuneration packages -Good working atmosphere -Good emphasis on ethics and code of conduct.
Cons
-Over the past 3 to 4 years, company attempted to improve its global structure and attempted more and more centralization of systems and procedures. This was carried out at a horrendous cost but only led to more bureaucracy, stifling rigidity in implementation and huge inefficiencies in the execution. -Multiple restructuring attempts based on whims and inexperience led to a more vertical organization and the creation of ineffective layers of management at a huge cost to the business. -Restructuring attempts continued to combine offices into larger entities leading to lack of focus, vague direct accountabilities and uncertain commitment to profitability at the core execution centres. -A horde of managers evolved that were big talkers but provided little or no support to the actual project delivery effort.
