Pros

Senior management is lacking. Intimidation tactics, constant monitoring (emails, calendars) and direct confrontation leads to very hostile work environment. There is a reason the company is constantly pushing a image of a fun and great culture - that is to mask the reality that people are leaving in waves.

Cons

Getting over a dozen email on Easter Sunday from the President on what are you going to do differently doesn't reinforce family first and I know many employees took offense.

Too toxic to be rewarding

Pros

Xerox has a good history and a lot of interesting technology. There's definitely a tradition of innovation and collaboration and still some good people who are interested in making a good product and understand the fundamentals of their technology.

Cons

I don't know whether it's due to layoffs or a stagnant culture, but the environment is very toxic. Problematic people are ignored, management functions mostly to avoid losing people in their group and most people spend their time trying to figure out how to jump ship to high-profile projects. The toxicity is very prevalent in the the 3D printing 'tower'. I understand the need for new products, but the people in charge of the project have no interest in supporting people, understanding issues, or being honest about the project requirements.

Company direction unknown to even VP's. Current senior mgmnt communication is the worst I have ever seen Layoffs are constant, outsourcing too Corporate raider is running the company and you can tell only cares about money Very view young folk left in company The company, and area (Rochester) is dying off. Its like being on the Titanic and knowing its going to sink. Benefits are so bad that smaller companies in the area have better that Xerox
