      Does offer flexible hours for better work/family balance

      Cons

      Senior management is only interested in provides "services", and not in developing new software solutions. If it could all be off-shored, I'm sure they would do this.

      Excellent local management - recognize work life balance reqs. Potential to work on very interesting projects Had a great reputation that they took care of their people Customer Satisfaction was top priority and they "walked the walk"!

      As a company, they don't value the hardware development on which the company was founded From a very low level it didn't appear to be a "growing company" - yearly "reduction in forces" Number of new projects were very limited

      Flexible Schedule and Interesting work, but poor job security.

      Pros

      Xerox is a great company to work for in terms of the actual work done. The engineering teams work well together and the environment is collaborative and interesting. The work done is fun and challenging. The hours are standard, although one might understandably have to work stretches of long overtime to meet deadlines, but that's not a negative thing and is expected with engineering work. The compensation package is competitive.

      Cons

      The only downside to working at Xerox are the constant reductions in force and layoffs. Few engineering folks feel secure about their position. Layoffs are a yearly phenomenon and have been for a long time.
