Pros

Your experience will vary depending on where and for whom you work. I had an amazing manager who took to heart the concept of work/life balance. She also skillfully directed me to tasks and projects that broadened and stretched me. Salary was very competitive. Benefits were ok, but they got worse over time. National healthcare would certainly help Xerox as well as other companies with the excessive financial burden of providing healthcare benefits.

Cons

Short term senior management vision. Cutting headcount looks good on paper, and in all honesty, the first couple rounds probably did get rid of some of the dead weight. But they've gone way past cutting the fat and are now into muscle and internal organs. It's ultimately an unsustainable strategy, and short-term makes it difficult to plan and execute with so much turmoil.

Pros

They are committed to an ethical workplace. There are challenging projects to work on. Thet are committed to personnel development. They make good use of Lean Six Sigma. They have a tuition refund program.

Cons

They allow workplace bullies to flourish. There is way too much bereaucracy. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. There are too many layoffs. Outsourcing many jobs overseas. Too much overhead. Management believes they are never wrong. They give across the board cost targets instead of doing their homework and cutting the fat, they end up cutting muscle. Very political work environment.

Pros

Working with wonderful customers and fellow employees. You can have the ability to make a very good income if you choose to work very hard. A Sales Executive needs to find an inner motivation as many of the offices now require that the employees work from home. That means you do do have near the good water cooler conversations that you had in the past.

Cons

This job requires at least 60 plus hours per week to be successful. Younger people need to really pay attention to the retirement benefits as they have been greatly reduced. Do not rely on the promises of Xerox, but, make sure that you have your own additional plans that will take care of you in retirement.
