Pros

Some work life balance. Great co-workers.

Cons

The outsourcing strategy is a bust, plain and simple. The agreement with HCL (engineered by Wim Appelo and Charlie Gardiner) has already cost Xerox millions of dollars in lost revenue as their engineers are not capable of doing R&D work. The damage has been done as too many critical resources have left the company. Xerox is now below critical mass on the product development side. It's HCL or bust and it looks like it's going to be bust because they supply Xerox with junior engineers who do not posess the skill necessary to do product development.

Pros

Great co-workers, lots of access to learning

Cons

Cut wages of lowest paid workers to increase revenue; sends high paying jobs overseas while bringing back low paying jobs; lost focus on customer relationship in favor of increasing revenue at any cost.

Disappointing and frustrating

Pros

You can have a good balance between work and family life. There are many good and talented people to work with. Unfortunately more and more of them are leaving the company for something better.

Cons

Upside-down triangle structure: managers outnumber the people who do real work and deliver. Some managers are toxic and abusive. A lot of office politics.
