Pros

I'll start out by saying MLOA is the best place I've ever worked in my 25 year career, and that's competing with a company earlier my career that sent me to the Superbowl 4 years in a row. By the end of my interview and after meeting my Manager and Director, I knew this was going to be a great fit and career move. My manager leadership begins and ends with being in the trenches with everyone, he knows his stuff, he hates it when I call him boss ( he really does ) I've already learned many skills from him that I would consider to be total game changer. My Director has ultra in-depth knowledge of the industry and his leadership sets the tone for the entire division. There's no micro managing of adults and professionals and guess what ? its produced self motivated professionals, that know the fruits are within reach if you work hard enough to achieve it. Training is two weeks in a classroom setting, then you're on the floor doing the job, your manager and peers are within an arm reach to help you. They won't let you drown, the training is on going with perfectly time courses. It wasn't until the other day I had realized how much it helped me that the training was organized the way it was ! starting with being too overwhelming ! This opportunity has also given my bilingual status a new meaning, with not many Spanish speaking Loan Officers in the industry. I view this as a golden opportunity to help my culture become 1st time homeowners, while providing a full understanding of a complex transaction. It brings me great joy to hear my borrowers thank me for being in my position, because they are no longer intimidated by the process. If you're a slacker or mediocre and just want a paycheck, then don't waste your time nor a slot here at MLOA !! If you're a hardworking, and have a will to win ! this is your place. If you're a bilingual, please stay away - this is a horrible place for you !! just kidding .. more the merrier !! lol Es la mejor compania en la ciudad, y la pontencial es lo maximo para un professional bilingue ! Cuenta con mucho trabajo y mucho potencial para ganar un ingreso alto !

Cons

There's isn't any ! if I were to say one thing ... They officially don't celebrate taco Tuesdays lol

Pros

Compensation, benefits, and overall corporate culture are wonderful, as well as the ability to grow within the company.

Cons

The sales department is managed in a completely different manner than the rest of the organization. The high pressure sales techniques, unethical tactics, and stress created by management is not worth the company perks.

Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the compensation, benefits and culture. Sorry to hear though that you think our sales tactics are high pressure and unethical. That's not what I hear from other sales folks and managers that I gather feedback from all the time. I will take your advice though and continue to work on positive feedback here in Seattle. Zillows' work environment

Pros

All in all, Zillow is a nice and friendly work environment if you are a younger healthy person. They have regular lunches which the company caters and have a relaxed, friendly work place.

Cons

If you are an older employee with health issues, Zillow can be a little unfriendly. I was told that attending the company lunch was mandatory, yet they never served anything I could eat because of my health. My supervisor suggested that I should bring my own lunch.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time working for us. Our employees are our #1 asset. While the occasional all hands meetings around lunch time are required, all free food offered at these meetings are completely optional - employees can also bring their own lunch as well. In addition, we also have delicious food trucks and restaurants nearby and Developers have the opportunity to get food elsewhere if the catered lunch doesn't meet dietary needs. - Justin LaJoie - VP
