Pros

Had many roles at ZG over 8+ years. I loved the culture, people, vision and benefits I really enjoyed my time there. I loved working with the agents and seeing them succeed. ZG was a place I called home as I spent more time in the office with these people than I did my own home.

Cons

Depending on your role, no advancement opportunities. Lateral moves are more frequent, but pay stays the same. Leadership is as transparent as they can be, but there is ALWAYS changes going on behind the scenes. It is very obvious when meetings get canceled out of the blue, reorgs happen on a Monday morning and you don't know about it until you get a company wide email. These are major changes that employees deserve to find out from their own manager/director. It impacts our role, our livelihood most of all. A company wide email letting you know that your entire team/position is going to be changing is unacceptable.

Pros

- Low expectations. - Flexible remote hours.

Cons

- Senior leadership drove this bus blindly off a cliff and wants us plebs to believe in their vision. - Single-minded, Seattle-based, politically charged, exclusive, ridiculing culture. - Hires skin colors instead of talent in repeatedly blatant, evidenced violation of the law by mandate from the highest levels of corporate leadership. - Comp is much higher for new hires than for the people teaching them to do their jobs. - "If you're in this meeting, you didn't get fired." - Changing directions too quickly to ever. complete. anything.

Hello, This is Nik, Director of Human Resources. Thank you for your feedback. We take every comment to heart, we always strive to be better. With that said, there’s a lot of concern in this review. Here at Zillow, we value inclusion and equity. We strongly believe that creating a workforce that’s representative of our communities enhances our culture and is key to our success as a company. We also have a compensation structure that will continue to offer equity choice and provide ownership opportunities for everyone. We are committed to recognize performance and retain top talent. To add, change will always be part of the Zillow formula; we are an innovative company, and a lot of our accomplishments is due to the efforts and acknowledgment of change. We appreciate your insight and we are open to hearing out your concerns. I welcome you to connect with me offline to further discuss your concerns and your experience. Pros

Some of the best people ever work here personally and professionally Great Work Life Balance Benefits are above average Lots of Support and Resources I miss the old Zillow

Cons

Zillow is a sinking ship Pre Zillow 3.0 everyone was thriving partners and reps Zillow doesn’t live by “do the right thing anymore” Intentionally lowered partners ROI without telling reps Redistributed leads without advising reps Sales job and account management is all retention now Product isn’t working Upper leadership took so much money from partners and their Premier Agent employees to make up for Zillow Offers Every top manager and rep has left Upward mobility and culture use to be the best in class but has rapidly declined since the big move in Aug 2021 Know it’s all “who you know” We use to be seen as valuable assets and now are quickly just a number at what feels like a retention center Employees are making less then ever Raises are all paid in stock and RSU which plummeted Top reps of 5+ years all making less hourly then new reps they are bringing in Squeezed Premier Agent Org so tight partners and employees are all broke but executives are starting off every all hands laughing while taking a zoom from another beach vacation
