At BAT, global mobility is all about creating opportunities to grow, exploring new markets, and building meaningful careers across borders. In this week’s Global Mobility story, Modupe Sanda reflects on his move to the United Kingdom. He joined the Global Marketing team in 2020 after beginning his BAT career 18 years earlier as a Management Trainee in Nigeria. Relocating during the early days of lockdown came with unexpected challenges. With restrictions limiting even the search for accommodation, support from BAT and his manager played a key role in helping him settle into both life and work in a new country. Today, as Planning & Portfolio Development Manager, Modupe shares what it’s like working in one of the world’s most diverse cities, collaborating with colleagues from across the globe, and continuing to build his career at the heart of a truly international organisation. 🎧 Listen to Modupe’s story and hear how his move to London shaped the next chapter of his career. 👉 Grow your career with us: https://ow.ly/KwGm50XRPqN #GlobalMobilityStories #LifeAtBAT #GlobalCareers #WeAreBAT #CareerGrowth #TomorrowCantWait #CareerJourneys #BATCareers #MeetOurPeople #EmployeeStories

Meet Christina Fan, Senior Packaging Innovation Manager for our Heated Products. Christina likes to say that “packaging chose me.” Early in her career, she joined a company specialising in packaging and quickly realised how much she enjoyed the field. Since joining BAT in 2019, she has grown from being the first packaging team member at the Shenzhen Innovation Centre to leading global packaging development for our Heated Products. When she describes what goes into creating packaging, Christina highlights the need to navigate a diverse set of factors. As she puts it: “A liquid pod needs barrier protection and shelf appeal. A device box must whisper luxury while shouting recyclability.” Her best advice to anyone starting out at BAT? "Be curious, stay open-minded, and embrace the diversity around you. BAT is full of opportunities to learn from global teams and grow beyond your comfort zone." Ready to shape the future? At BAT, careers aren’t defined by borders. That’s why in our new Global Mobility series, we’re sharing the experiences of colleagues who’ve built their BAT careers across countries. For Fogi, that journey started in Budapest 15 years ago, followed by roles in Germany and Denmark, before returning home to take on the role of Global Employer Brand Lead. A highlight of his career was moving to Hamburg to become the first non-German Human Resources Business Partner for BAT Germany, an experience that challenged him, broadened his perspective, and showed what real support looks like. When relocating, BAT was there every step of the way, from helping him settle into a new home to providing language courses. Fogi found himself in an inclusive team, building lasting connections that continue to shape his career today. 🎧 Listen to Fogi’s story to discover more about the growth and possibilities that come with building a truly international career. 👉 Explore our career opportunities: https://ow.ly/hAmn50XqouM #GlobalMobilityStories #LifeAtBAT #GlobalCareers #CareerGrowth #TomorrowCantWait #CareerJourneys #BATCareers #MeetOurPeople #EmployeeStories
