I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Buffalo, NY) in Feb 2015
Interview
I was notified by my adviser that URS was looking for an entry-level environmental engineer. I contacted them and applied, and very soon after got an interview. The interview was mostly for me to elaborate on my experience and also for me to ask any questions I had, as well as to meet a few of the people in the office.

Interview
The entire interview process was a little over an hour long, including a small tour around the office. I interviewed with two project managers at the same time. They first introduced the company - what kind of projects they do in the department I'm interviewing for, the work environment, the work structure, etc. Generic questions were asked about items written on my resume (research, experience, courses). Very simply, friendly, and pleasant.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Arlington, VA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Interviewers were very friendly. I met with multiple people during each round of the interviewing, and they made sure to give me the opportunity to speak with employees who were working on projects I was the most interested in. I kept the same main contact throughout the process. Interviews were a combination of asking me about my background and interests as well as information about the company and giving me the chance to ask them about anything.
