I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Tallahassee, FL) in Oct 2012
Interview
The was campus recruitment and after which applicants were selected based on academic performance. The shortlisted applicants were invited to a dinner a night before the interview and while at the dinner, the was presentation by the executives and two current District Managers above all it was a nice experience. I had a lead from glassdoor review that it is very important you ask questions because the presenters noticed every single moments which includes what you eat, where you sits, how you dressed the type of questions you asked etc while those leads were helpful I will suggest you keep silence if there is no serious questions to ask. Then the 1st interview though I was not selected for the second interview, because of my student status (F-1 OPT) but it was a nice experience.

Question 1
who is the most influential person in your life and why?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Saint Louis, MO)
Interview
I never actually applied. ... I had my resume posted on Career Builder and was contacted by a recruiter at a staffing agency. From the time the recruiter contacted me to the final round of interviews, it took about 2 months. I had a brief conversation with the recruiter about what I was looking for in a career and a company, and she thought it would be a good fit, so she sent me on to an initial interview with the Director of Operations. That day, I received an invitation to attend the final round of interviews with a group of other candidates.
The final round of interviews entailed interviews with several VP's and Directors. The day also included a visit of their warehouse and a visit to a nearby store with two district managers who have both been in position for several years. Ask tons of intelligent questions and make a great impression!
ALDI paid for hotel/travel for the final round of interviews, but not the initial meet & greet type interview. Overall it was a very smooth and informational process.
If you are open to relocation, prepare for the interview, and fit the personality of the interviewer, you shouldn't have any problem at least getting to the final round of interviews. Like I said before, ask a lot of questions - most of my interviews were me asking them questions rather than them asking me!
Just be yourself; explain your background and your interests with the position & company - It is a conversational type interview. They did ask a few questions, mostly about accountability and the type of leader you are.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Rate your assertiveness on a level from 1 to 10? ... Also, confidence & organizational skills

What actions would you take if an employee that performed above standard consistently had a bad attitude?
What type of leader are you?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ALDI in Oct 2012
Interview
I finished college 2 years ago and am working full time as a manager.I wanted to move up and decided to try Aldi since they would hire fresh grad & all salaries information is posted online.
I applied online and did not get a respond till 2 months later. They scheduled me a phone interview with an operation director that took place 2 weeks later but it was delayed for another 2 weeks. Phone interview was OK, very standard resume & experience questions. Then, they called me the very same day to have a face to face interview in their office/warehouse next week.
There were 4 of us with 5 directors from different departments + VP. They gave us a tour of the warehouse, then we all got 1:1 interview with all of them. 2 current DM came in and took us to a local store then back to the office to have a lunch with the team. A week later, I received a mail that they declined my application.
** The interview was ok and they questions were easy because I have management experience, so all the things that they asked I face it everyday. However, I know they were looking for very specific answer.
