I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru) in Feb 2017
Interview
Headhunter reached out to me with the vacancy. Submitted CV. Amazon then took a long time to shortlist the CV. However, once that was done the process then was done within 2 weeks including presenting the final offer. The interview was a mix of skill-based(mostly SQL, bit of Statistics), resume-based(lot of relevant experience)and Behavioral. I had 6 rounds of interviews, including 2 telephonic - one screening & one final interview.

Interview
Applied on AWS website, got a phone interview scheduled in a week, the interviewer called me on time. but I did not correctly follow because of his Chinese accent, it was a technical phone interview, where we share the screen to write sql scripts, he started the interview with some behavioral questions for about 15 min and then he jumped to screen share which is fine but on the screen he never wrote the question, he verbally spoke of what he wanted and asked me to write a query on the fly, they mentioned it is in depth technical interview but was mostly behavioral questions with couple of technical quesitons

Question 1
DML / DDL definitons and examples,
why AWS?
Tell me a creative thing you have done in your current job.
SQL query - if there are store with store id and Total_sales and order date, he wanted to compare last weeks revenue to this week by store Id(which I assume because he never wrote the question properly and he just told on the fly, we have board where both of us can write but he have could written the question atleast , its hard to understand the question on the phone with his accent)

Interview
A recruiter contacted with me at LinkedIn first. Then we chatted on the phone for 15 minutes or so. Just ask some of your interests, your ability, your basic experience. Introduce some of the position. Then schedule the first technical interview by email. In the first technical interview, I was interviewed by a product manager. No coding questions. Just talk about the resume. Ask the details of my current job. Some behavior questions. After four days, I received the email that not moving forward..... although I think my qualification fits the role pretty well.
