I was given 3 queries to solve during the live coding session. These involved writing optimized SQL for aggregations, filtering using joins and window functions, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in real-time.”

Question 1
They mainly asked me to start with a self-introduction, which gave me a chance to highlight my background and relevant experience
The interview process was pretty standard. I was interviewed for BIE L5 role. I had a recruiter call, then SQL assessment with 4 SQL questions ranging from easy to hard. Next, a 60 min tech screen with one of the BIE L5s where they asked 5-6 SQL questions, it was basically live coding and 1 LP question. Later on, I was moved onto Final interviews which was a loop of 5 rounds. Started off with tech round in the similar format of my tech screen earlier but with more emphasis on SQL questions and ETL design, the second round was completely LPs, third round was LPs+Business acumen, 4th the HR where she discussed LPs+data viz and tools, last round was bar raiser which is critical for the interview success. That's all. I can't share exact questions due to NDA.
SQL Assessment - MCs and 4 medium- hard level questions
Technical Interview - 3 SQL questions (window function, joins) with 1 LP
Interview Loop - The focus was mainly on LP, they ask in depth question about your projects (have many stories, don't say the same story multiple times), your input in the project specifically. They also want to see how you can handle ambiguity. Had 1 SQL round (lead/lag, rolling avg), analytical round (testing your analytical thinking how you would solve problem), business acumen, stakeholder management and data viz round. Know your stories in STAR method, rehearse it multiple times.
