I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at AppDynamics (Washington, DC) in May 2017
Interview
The interview process was straight forward. Talk to the HR team, then hiring manger, complete skills tests and assessment, more interviews up the chain, and you are done. It is a very thorough process which I liked.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to convince your customer to do something, what was the outcome of that and why.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AppDynamics (Buffalo, NY) in Apr 2017
Interview
Very friendly and very thorough process for the sales engineer position. I interviewed with the hiring manager, which led to a lab exercise of the product. The lab was straightforward enough and gave me a good introduction to the product. Following the lab I was asked to give a mock presentation/demo to the hiring manager and some sales reps. I maybe spent more time prepping for this than necessary, but was still a good experience. Then a couple more interviews up the management chain.
I applied online. I interviewed at AppDynamics (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
I interviewed at AppDynamics earlier this year for a product manager position. I applied through AppD website but that position got filled even before I could begin the interview process. Joe, my recruiter quickly redirected my application to another related role. I had a seamless experience interviewing at AppD.
Although AppD got acquired during my offer period by Cisco and logistics slowed down due to merge but I was always kept in loop during the entire process. Visa transfer + negotiation + on boarding was as smooth as it can be.

Question 1
Standard product management questions but nothing crazy (no counting #of gas stations in CA). Product design, improvement, prioritization, background related questions, product strategy, business strategy, industry awareness etc.
