I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied online after talking to some engineers at a hackathon. 2 or 3 weeks later a recruiter reached out to set up a phone interview. The phone interview questions were very easy (I'm a freshman and they were even easy for ME). About a week later my recruiter followed up and invited me to onsite in Manhattan. There were 2 technical interviews that also asked pretty simple DSA-type questions. If you didn't pass these first two you were escorted out. Afterwards there was an interview with a manager and finally one with HR. A few days later I got my offer! :)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Nov 2015

Interview
The phone interview took about 45 mins. The interviewer and I went to the same collaborative editing website. The interviewer firstly asked some questions about my resume and then asked something about the Linux commands, then introduced a question related to the implementation of the command. After that, the interviewer asked an algorithm question. Finally, I asked the interviewer a question.
