I applied online. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Singapur) in Aug 2017
Interview
First stage:
Phone interview, was fairly brief, maybe 30 minutes long. Was asked why bloomberg, and was asked to explain what sales & analytics does. Two hours later I was invited to the next stage.
Second stage:
Assessment center in house. It was almost 4 hours long.
- Started off with a real life simulation where you tend to clients by using the terminal. Took about 15 minutes.
- Then a 15 min interview, just behavioural questions.
- Then a 15 min role play. Was asked to sell an item in the room to the interviewer.
- Then a case study you solve with a partner.
- Then a group discussion.
I was called at the end of the day and was invited to the next, and last stage.
Third stage:
An hour and a half.
- 30 min shadowing session to start off. Ask the right questions, be friendly, you'll be fine.
- 1 hour interview. They ask technicals, they GRILL YOU on your resume. Was asked why bloomberg, where I saw my career headed, etc. Was asked a random question (about starbucks, listed below).
Took a week for them to get back to me.
**Overall, be confident, friendly, prepare well for all stages, and you will be fine.
