Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself at Bloomberg in the next 5 years?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Londres, Inglaterra) in Mar 2025
Interview
My experience with interviewing at the company was very positive. It was relaxed, and they genuinely showed interest in me. The process started with an online Plum assessment, followed by a straightforward HireVue interview that was mainly motivational and had unlimited time.
After this, I had a small call to check whether I spoke the required language, as I applied for a team with language requirements. During this call, I needed to discuss some news topics, which was not difficult at all.
Then came the first real interview, for which I prepared a lot. They really wanted to see what drives you and what makes you different. It's important to get as much knowledge as possible about what the company offers. I talked about my own experience with their terminal, so try to get your hands on one and make sure you have a favorite function that you can sort of pitch. They asked me one roleplay question as well.
During the last interview, it was even more focused on why I wanted to join. Since I had done some more traditional finance internships in small companies. Besides, I also pitched an idea for how I could win business for them.
To conclude, you should try to have a real-life conversation, but make sure to stay authentic as they note everything down. Try to come across as relaxed and genuine, as a salesperson should be. Convince them with your pitch about why you should join Bloomberg and make sure to ask some follow-up questions. Ultimately, the recruiter responded the next day after the manager interview with an offer for the internship.
