I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at DISH (South El Monte, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
There are a couple interviews that are done. The first is a phone interview. Mine was with HR. They asked background experience and questions about my resume. The second interview was in person with the operations manager. He asked more questions regarding work experience. The job is hands on, so I think most with a construction background can do the job.
I applied online. I interviewed at DISH (Vancouver, WA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Application followed by an assessment. A phone call from head quarters asking pertinent questions about employment followed by two in person interviews with local management. It was easy because they are always looking for new people.

I applied online. I interviewed at DISH (Riverside, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
The interview was a lot of discussion about sales while out in the field. There is a very heavy emphasis on sales, almost above all else. The company is always hiring new technicians, this is due to an extremely high turnover rate. If one does not sell, regardless of how well the technical work is, one is penalized and/or terminated.
